About the Author
Born in Athens, Georgia, Karen graduated
from the University of Georgia and
Georgia State University College of Law.
She is licensed to practice law in Georgia
and in Maine, where she currently lives
with her husband and three children.
While taking a break from the practice of
law to raise children, Karen was drawn to
stand-up comedy. Much of her material is
derived from her experience as a mother,
a trial attorney, and as a Southerner living
in Maine.
Hailed as Maine's Funniest Mom, Karen
was one of seven finalists in Nick at
Nite's first Search for the Funniest Mom in
America, chosen from over 1,000 entries nationwide. She hosts a weekly
comedy show, The Karen Morgan Show, at the Comedy Connection in
Portland, Maine. Her weekly radio spot, The Mother Load, is featured on
The Coast Morning Show. Karen appears on television, radio, in comedy
clubs, and in theatres nationwide with her trio of funny moms, Mama's
