Distribution Programs

We have two different distribution services available, making it possible to tailor individual sales efforts to the individual needs of each project. Additional fees are required to set up distribution with either of our current distributors, but authors are free to set up their own distribution process as well.

For authors who publish with Peter E. Randall Publisher we have a contract for distribution and sales through National Book Network (NBN), a full service, national, trade distributor, known for their work with independent publishers. Order fulfillment and collection of sales revenue are included with this service. Authors receive sales reports from PER twice a year in January and July. All sales revenue goes directly to the author or client, as we simply pass the funds through from NBN.

Authors who publish with our Jetty House imprint can be placed with Enfield Publishing and Distribution, a New Hampshire-based order fulfillment distributor, noted for their special sales options and their ability to handle direct mail fulfillment. Authors who work with Enfield will establish a contract with them directly, so sales information and funds go straight to the client.

Each of our distributors have specific advantages, so the decision of where to place a title is based upon the client’s needs, as well as the title itself. We can suggest other distributors as well, but these two handle the majority of our titles.

A word of caution regarding sales and distribution – use of trade distribution requires that a strong marketing program be conducted over an extended period of time. Books require support in order to begin selling and it’s unlikely that they will “take off” with only a few mentions in the media, or even with a few strong reviews. We are one of only a few subsidy publishers represented by NBN, so working with our program offers your title the chance to be sold alongside trade titles from much larger publishers.
